INJURED GYMNASTS ARE EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE
- Every athlete and/or her parent (s) are responsible for notifying Team coaches of any injury, illness, or medical condition. Athletes under a physician’s care are required to have a doctor’s note outlining the athlete’s limitations.
- Injured athletes are expected to participate in practice and gym activities to the extent possible. It is often possible to work around injuries and turn a difficult situation into something positive by increased work on flexibility, strength or specific skills. There is no reduction in tuition unless the injury takes you completely out of the gym for over one month and then only if the gymnast cannot participate in conditioning in any way. In that instance, tuition may be adjusted depending on the circumstance.
- Injured athletes will require a return-to-practice notification and a release form from their attending physician or specialist prior to rejoining complete workouts.
COMPETITIVE TEAM PRESENTATION HAIR AND ACCESSORIES
- Hair style is part of the competition and practice uniform. Hair that is shorter than shoulder length is to be pulled neatly away from the face. Hair that is longer than shoulder length is to be in a ponytail or bun or otherwise pulled back so it does not interfere with the gymnast during her routine. The coach may specify a set hairstyle for uniformity among the team.
- Hair must be neat with no fly-aways (use gel or hairspray to keep fly-aways back).
- Competitive scrunchie is encouraged, but not required.
- No glitter or hair paint.
- Nail polish is not acceptable as stated in USAG rules.
- Subtle makeup is permitted for optional teams. Compulsory gymnasts are asked not to wear makeup.
- One pair of post earrings only. No other jewelry is allowed, including watches.

Above all, enjoy yourself.
A good attitude is the key to success and happiness.
